Along with Tagaytay and Baguio, the beaches of Batangas are Manila resident's favorite weekend destination. For international tourists, Batangas is famous for its great diving areas. Batangas has two major beach areas. On its west coast, there's Nasugbu, Matabungkay and Calatagan Beach. West coast resorts featured by Philippine Hotel Reservations Service include Lago De Oro Beach Club & Restaurant (with its own water skiing facility), Matabungkay Beach Resort & Hotel, and the Golden Sunset Resort (almost a "beach Disneyland" and a paradise for families). Anilao, Mabini is where diving aficionados will find dive resorts, ranging from basic cottages to stylish resorts. Great budget diving options include the Dive & Trek Resort and the Anilao Outrigger Resort. More hotel-like rooms and amenities are offered by the Eagle Point Resort or the Balai Resort Anilao.
